Hate Drinking Water? Alkaline Water May Change your Mind

Pindar, a great lyric poet of ancient Greek may not have been aware of alkaline water way back then, but still he was very confident when he said that, “Water is the best of all things”. I know more people who don’t like drinking water, than those who are religious in hydrating themselves. One of the top reasons why some people hate drinking water is the taste. They find the taste of plain drinking water weird and disgusting. Some even complain of a funny after taste. The sad truth is that some of them quench their thirst by drinking fizzys and other fruit juices with artificial sweeteners. If you’re one of them and a female, I am sure that its possible that you have visited your doctor due to urinary tract infection (UTI), that’s just one of the many health problems you’ll meet by hating drinking water.

Take it from a top model:

Ms. KasiaPilewicz was originally from Poland who travels to New York and started her modeling career in the US. She’s appeared in fashion magazines like Glamour, Seventeen and V Magazine. Her big break was when she appeared in Cycle 16 of America’s Next Top Model on CW. She was 26 years old at that time, but her co contestants thought that she’s just 19 or in her early 20s. It was her flawless skin that made her look younger and gorgeous. So what’s her wicked secret aside from using skin products? Drinking water, water and water all the time.

Watch how Kasia keeps her gorgeous skin young, fresh and enchanting:

Do you want to look like Kasia? Or is it ok for you to look like you’re already in your 50s?

alkaline water

Let’s get a little bit geeky:

Water plays several roles inside our body.  More than 50% of our body weight is either fluids or water, and every cell requires fluids to function properly. Every bodily process needs water, and it is the basis of all body fluids like perspiration, blood, lymph, urine, and other digestive juices. You may not be aware that enough water inside your body maintains the following:

-          Keeps our blood clean by allowing it to pass through and be filtered by the kidneys.

-          Keeps our body temperature regulated.

-          Keeps food moving in the intestinal tract to complete digestion.

-          Keeps joints and mucus membranes lubricated.

-          Maintains the transportation of nutrients to other parts of the body.

-          Provides minerals for our body to use.

-          Keeps our muscle and skin toned.

-          Helps in flushing out waste materials or toxins.

Water is our internal moisturizer. It keeps our skin moist, supple, and clear while preventing premature aging. If you are not still convinced to drink water more, I bet you just want to look like this: alkaline waterOk, I want to drink plain water.

If you normally drink tap water, you should know that it is not filtered from toxins and other micro-organisms it may contain. So what about distilled or bottled water? It should be ok since it is purified, but it is not the best. Distilled drinking water is clean, but it has been stripped out of the essential minerals that you need. So here’s what you need:water that can balance the pH or neutralize the acidity of your body and can also provide you the needed minerals to keep a healthy body – alkaline ionized water. Now, what you need to do is make alkaline ionized water at home. You can use an alkaline water machine or a water ionizer, but be very careful in purchasing one. There is a good number of alkaline water scams that have been reported over the past few years. So make sure that you are going to get your water ionizer from a trusted manufacturer or company. Alkaline water benefits include preventing premature aging, lowering the risk for high blood pressure, gout, and other chronic diseases. Remember that the food that we are eating nowadays are, almost all, acid forming, so we need our drinking water to be capable of neutralizing this harmful acidity inside our system.
